Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara was the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous significant international and national productions throughout her career. A few of them include the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she has been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
